Dungworth is a quiet village located on the outskirts of the breath-taking Peak District National Park and the vibrant city of Sheffield. Set on the edge of the Peak District, high on the moors northwest of Sheffield but only a 20-minute drive from the centre of the city. There are many walks from the cottage into the Peak District National Park, and it is a short drive to the Upper Derwent Valley. Sometimes referred to as Derbyshire’s Lake District, the Peak District National Park’s Upper Derwent Valley is known for its majestic reservoirs, spectacular scenery, peaceful forests and wild open spaces.
Ringwood Cottage is a stone built cottage in the quiet village of Dungworth, and is just a short journey to the centre of Stannington with many local pubs and shops. On the edge of the Peak District National Park, this is an ideal location for exploring on foot with lovely walks from the doorstep, riding a bike through the many quiet lanes and footpaths of the area, or visiting the Upper Derwent Valley. This cottage has been lovingly renovated to maintain it’s original character and is suitable for family & friends holidays. Sorry, but this cottage does not accept stag/hen or similar parties – the cottage is only let for quiet family holidays.
