Foolow is a picturesque village clustered around a village green with an ancient cross and duckpond. It was formerly a lead-mining village and many of the houses are from the 17th century. Foolow is surrounded by the most glorious Peak District countryside of gently rolling hills, ancient dry-stone walls and tumbledown barns. The Bull’s Head pub is situated in the centre of the village and serves honest, locally-sourced food and real ales.

Sandy’s Barn is a stone built cottage situated a few metres from the Bull’s Head pub and opposite the village green. Centrally located in a beautiful part of the Peak District National Park, this is an ideal location for exploring on foot with lovely walks from the doorstep,  riding a bike through the many quiet lanes and footpaths of the area, or visiting the show caves situated near the cottage. Please note there is no outside private outside space at the Barn.
