Wetton is a pretty stone village, nestled at the foot of the Wetton Hills above the Dovedale and Manifold valleys in the heart of the Peak District National Park, a few miles north of Ashbourne. Within the village there are 3 small working farms, a local inn, The Royal Oak, and a 14th century church with its six bells founded in six different centuries. The area is perfect for exploring with a network of footpaths and the Dove and Manifold Valleys. For cyclists, the cottage is just a short distance from The Manifold Cycle Trail and the Tissington and High Peak Cycle Trails.
Stone Cottage is a stone-built cottage situated near the centre of this delightful village. This is an ideal location for exploring on foot, with lovely walks from the doorstep, or riding a bike through the many quiet lanes and footpaths of the area. For touring and sightseeing, the nearby attractions of Bakewell or Buxton with their regular markets, the tourist attractions at Matlock, and the unmissable Chatsworth House are all within easy reach, to name a few.
